Sweden is in a state of crisis as it experiences an average of one explosion per day, alarming its citizens and prompting government response. Justice spokesperson Teresa Carvalho highlighted growing public panic, while stop-and-search zones have been introduced yet yielded limited results in combating crime. The Prime Minister labeled the violence as domestic terrorism, vowing a collective, societal approach to counteract organized crime. A meeting of key crime-fighting officials is planned to strategize on the escalating violence and community safety.
"We've had on average one explosion a day and January looks like it's going to be the worst month ever. The concern and the fear are spreading," Carvalho stated.
"The criminal gangs are showing total indifference to the public. This is domestic terrorism which we must fight with the collective power of society," said Prime Minister Kristersson.
