Six unlikely CFP stars and what they do for an encore
Briefly

Jaden Greathouse entered the College Football Playoff semifinal with minimal production, totaling six receptions for 49 yards across his previous five games and never surpassing 66 receiving yards in a game. He posted a career-high 105 receiving yards and caught all seven targets in the Orange Bowl semifinal, then recorded 128 receiving yards and his first multi-touchdown game in the national championship. Those performances significantly elevated his profile despite Notre Dame falling 34-23 in the title game. Greathouse returns to Hard Rock Stadium to open the 2025 season at Miami, and several players aim to use expanded CFP exposure as a springboard for bigger roles next year.

"... Opportunity is just a moment away," Greathouse said. "Luckily for me, it turned out to be in the two biggest games of the season."
