The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office released shocking video showing deputies bursting through a glass window to rescue a woman from a man holding her at knifepoint.
After arriving at the Tampa apartment complex, deputies found Jason Douglas Paul acting erratically, threatening, and carrying a knife before he took a woman into a back bedroom.
Despite numerous warnings to drop the knife, Jason Douglas Paul refused, leading to Deputy John Howes discharging his firearm and ultimately resulting in Paul's death.
The bodycam footage, which is around two minutes long, captures the high-tension moments of the rescue attempt and the chaos of the situation that unfolded.
