A severed horse's head discovered at a Sicilian businessman’s property is believed to be a mafia intimidation tactic, echoing a famous scene from The Godfather.

Angela De Luca, the mayor of Altofonte, expressed her community's deep disturbance, stating, 'This act seems to take us back to the middle ages, with its unacceptable methods.'
