Byblos Harbour, a restaurant on the Isle of Dogs, has been refurbished, highlighting a new kitchen, outdoor seating, and artwork inspired by the ancient Lebanese city of Byblos. Opened in 2008 by Aboud Grimesty, the restaurant faced challenges, including the financial crisis and the pandemic. However, it thrived during COVID with takeaway services. The refurbishment, done incrementally over two years, features art by Kyrsten Perry, celebrating the history and culture of Byblos, an ancient coastal city in Lebanon, making the restaurant a vibrant representation of its heritage.
I was fascinated by the postcode and the fantastic water views so I decided to open a restaurant here.
The refurbishment has been done gradually over the past two years.
Kyrsten painted four of our many famous ruins and landmarks, highlighting my passion for Lebanese cuisine and culture.
Byblos is a very ancient city with lots of history; it still exists back home in Lebanon.
