Particle Health, which acts as a middleman between electronic health records systems and healthcare companies, has recently raised $10 million from existing investors to combat competition stifled by Epic Systems.
The raise comes shortly after Particle filed an antitrust lawsuit against Epic Systems, alleging the company has been stifling competition in the payer platform market.
The additional funding, which amounts to $10 million from Particle Health’s major investors, aims to provide the company with more runway for its upcoming growth phase.
Despite the turbulent relationship, the new financing will not support the ongoing antitrust lawsuit against Epic, as Particle is not directly financing the legal action.
