Currently, approximately 278,000 customers remain without power, though ESB has restored supply to 490,000, marking this storm as one of the most severe in recent history.
We anticipate that the vast majority of customers who lost power during Storm Éowyn have supply restored by Friday night, January 31.
Schools should carry out safety checks on buildings and facilities, check for fallen wires and any other damage near the school before reopening.
