The BBC's internal investigation into Russell Brand has revealed multiple allegations of sexual misconduct during his time there from 2006 to 2008. A 15-page report highlighted one specific incident where Brand allegedly exposed himself to a female colleague in the Los Angeles bureau restroom, only to later joke about it on-air. The review noted that this incident was widely known, and many staff felt hesitant to report such behavior, doubting management would take them seriously. Concerns were raised about the lack of accountability and response to complaints related to Brand's conduct.
One of the complaints that was looked into involved Brand allegedly following a female staffer into the bathroom of the BBC's Los Angeles bureau and exposing himself to her, moments before prerecording a show.
Johnson's report claimed that the alleged incident 'was fairly common knowledge' at the LA office, and was 'joked about' by the staff for years.
