Romford office block used for hot desking could be turned into more than 40 flats
Briefly

An architecture firm has submitted plans to convert Queens Court, an office block in Romford, into 47 residential units, furthering housing initiatives in the area.
The proposed layout includes a mix of various flats: four studios, 40 one-bedroom, and three two-bedroom units spread across five floors. This reflects a keen interest in maximizing housing in urban spaces.
The ground floor will feature amenities such as a communal lobby and cycle storage, along with 12 parking spaces equipped with electric vehicle charging points, emphasizing sustainability.
Havering Council is expected to rule on the conversion application by February 12, as local authorities increasingly consider converting unused office spaces into housing.
