YouMail's research indicates 43.7 billion robocalls so far in 2024, which is 3.3% lower than the same period last year, suggesting a positive trend overall despite recent spikes.
CEO Alex Quilici noted that the current rise in robocalls is primarily election-driven, and he anticipates a substantial decline in call volumes in the coming months.
Among the different types of robocalls in October, telemarketing saw the largest jump at 21.5%, while scam calls also increased by 18.2%, indicating a shift in robocall strategies.
