In 2025, Gallions Reach Shopping Park in Beckton will see the opening of new stores by Matalan and JD Sports. JD Sports plans to relocate to a much larger 13,500 sq ft store, more than doubling its current size, which will open in spring. Matalan's new store will be 20,500 sq ft, set to debut in the second quarter of 2025. The centre manager emphasized the significance of these expansions in enhancing the shopping and leisure experience at Gallions Reach, which already features major retailers like H&M and TK Maxx.

The new JD Sports store will be relocating to a 13,500 sq ft space next to River Island, more than double the size of its current unit.
