Hugh Wallace was a founding partner and director of Douglas Wallace Architects/Consultants and a prominent Irish architect. He served as a judge on RTÉ's Home of the Year since 2015 and presented The Great House Revival and My Bungalow Bliss. He died suddenly at home and is survived by his husband, Martin Corbett; the couple were together 39 years and married in 2012. Martin Corbett requested privacy after the death. A family statement praised Wallace's passion, creativity and warmth and extended thoughts and prayers to family and friends. Wallace grew up in Dundrum and spoke about struggling with his sexuality and spending time in New York to find himself.
