A refugee named Brice O has filed a complaint with the UN Committee Against Torture regarding Spain's police actions during a disastrous migrant incursion in 2014 that left at least 14 dead. The Guardia Civil's use of anti-riot measures, including rubber bullets, caused panic among the migrants attempting to enter Ceuta, with many drowning in the sea. Brice O, who lost vision in one eye due to the police’s actions, highlighted the dangers of such weaponry in crowd control scenarios. He now studies in Canada after having spent years in Moroccan forests as an unaccompanied minor.
I find it incredibly dangerous that rubber bullets are being used.
Suddenly I felt an intense pain in my face, on my left side, a pain in the eye area.
