'Rathkeale is in mourning' - gardai appeal for information following death of young mother in Limerick hit-and-run

Local councillor Adam Teskey said there is "a dark cloud" hanging over Rathkeale this Christmas following the tragic death of Marguerita Sheridan, stating, "This is a very sad day. It is unprecedented. We as a town have never witnessed this level of sadness." He emphasizes the need for community support for the grieving Sheridan family, who have been pillars in their community during difficult times.

Limerick TD Niall Collins described the incident as an "awful tragedy". He expressed his condolences, saying, "On behalf of myself, on behalf of the community, I'd like to give our sincere sympathies and our support to the family of Marguerita Sheridan. It's an awful, awful tragedy, particularly given the fact that she's such a young woman with her life ahead of her and a three-week-old child."
