The festival not only offers entertainment but serves as a platform for queer and trans people of color to express their unique narratives. "This is a space for us to explore identity, conflict, and humor within our community," says Jud Ferrer, the festival's founder.
Featuring the talents of 25 queer and trans writers, directors, and performers of color, the festival will light up the stage at Bindlestiff Studio with a collection of sharp, provocative, and hilarious short plays that tackle everything from love and polyamory to political power and magical realism.
VI promises audiences a ride through laughter, reflection, and queer fantasy. Through satirical comedies like "The Adventures of Bisexual Sperm" to mystical tales like, where a mystic promises freedom from a past-life curse.
The festival is proudly sponsored by Theatre Bay Area and Bindlestiff Studio, supporting innovative and inclusive theater arts in the Bay Area.
