During my trip, I prioritized meeting with the fact-checkers of India, believing I met with the majority of them. We had a meeting that gathered all the IFCN signatories who were able to attend, discussing how the network works and how we could improve it. This collaboration is critical in enhancing our approach to tackling misinformation.
I think the main insights that I gathered were specific knowledge from the fact-checking community in India. I visited various newsrooms of fact-checkers, seeing the diversity of the organizations. There are fact-checking divisions inside large media houses and small independent fact-checking organizations, showcasing the expansive landscape of fact-checking efforts.
