De La Salle faced an uphill battle in its matchup against Sunnyslope after star player Alec Blair was sidelined due to a shoulder injury. Despite this setback, junior Ibrahim Monawar led the team with 15 points and a commendable performance. The first half was competitive, but Sunnyslope’s Darius Wabbington found his rhythm, propelling his team to a significant lead in the third quarter. Although De La Salle rallied in the fourth, it was not enough to overcome a twelve-point deficit, ending the game at 53-46.
We didn't play great tonight, Schroeder said. We gotta get better and obviously with taking two losses in a row, we hit some adversity.
