Owner George Mascall, 65, indicated that the business will close due to retirement, expressing he's ‘had enough of making pies’ after years of service.
The family-run pie and mash shop has been a staple in Deptford since 1914, originally founded by Michael Manze and has seen multiple generations operating it.
While other family members are in established careers, there remains uncertainty about the future of the iconic building once the shop closes its doors.
Manze's confirmed their last trading day is January 25, urging customers to visit soon as they anticipate selling out earlier than usual.
