Sheriff Kevin McMahill confirmed the identity of the bomber, Master Sgt. Matthew Alan Livelsberger, a U.S. Army special operations soldier, who shot himself prior to the explosion.
Authorities traced the movements of Livelsberger's rented Cybertruck through charging stations, revealing he arrived in Las Vegas shortly before the bombing occurred.
Evidence from the coroner's office indicated Livelsberger sustained a gunshot wound to the head before the Cybertruck exploded, with a handgun found at his feet.
McMahill highlighted that substantial evidence linked Livelsberger to the attack, including two identifiable tattoos and his rental of the vehicle from Turo.
