Plastic Reimagined showcases Adirondack-style seating made entirely from discarded plastics collected at Georgia Tech, serving as a design exhibition and prototype for public spaces. The project emerged from an architectural studio course focusing on material literacy and community involvement. Graduate students collected HDPE and PLA plastics from makerspaces and recycling facilities, utilizing various fabrication techniques to create distinct designs. The exhibition includes process documentation, showing the transformation from waste to functional seating, thereby emphasizing the potential of circular design approaches.
