A woman in her 70s was sadly pronounced dead after a serious incident involving two pedestrians on Main Street in Charleville on Saturday.
The Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have examined the crash scene, while the local coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination is to follow.
Authorities are urging witnesses and individuals with mobile phone or dashcam footage from Main Street in Charleville around the time of the incident to come forward.
A man in his 60s, who was injured in the same incident, is reported to be in stable condition in Cork University Hospital.
