Patti Smith has announced her 'Horses 50th Anniversary Tour' to honor the 50th anniversary of her 1975 debut album, 'Horses'. The tour culminates with two performances at New York's Beacon Theatre on November 21 and 22. Smith will perform the album in its entirety for the first time in 18 years, joined by original band members. Critics praise her fiery live performance, indicating she remains an emotionally engaged artist. In March 2024, a tribute concert featuring notable artists will also honor her influence on music.
As for whether Smith still has "it," critics seem to think so. "She's still passionate, still fiery, still a dynamite live performer," Park Life DC wrote about a September 2023 concert.
"Please join us to help celebrate the final ride of our irreverent thoroughbred," the New Jersey native and '70s New York icon shared in a press release, emphasizing the significance of her tour.
