Orange warning for 'significant snowfall' in six counties as Met Eireann issues 19 counties with yellow snow and ice warning

The orange warning for counties Galway, Clare, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford will come into effect from 12am on Thursday and remain in place until 12pm.
Impacts include hazardous travelling conditions, poor visibility, travel disruption and animal welfare issues. Met Éireann has said outdoor events will be impacted while the warning is in place.
A Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning has been issued for the entire country and snow in southern counties as temperatures continue to plummet.
