Reflecting on my tenure, the success in Santa Clara County is a product of collaboration. Alone, no elected official or organization can overcome the county's complex challenges.
Our initiatives aimed at improving affordable housing, health services, and support for youth and seniors show the remarkable progress possible when community members, nonprofits, and the private sector work in partnership.
Long-term efforts, like the Youth Behavioral Health Crisis Center, take time. Institutional progress requires patience, persistence, and an urgency to address the pressing needs of our community.
To elected officials, the work resembles a relay; we pass the baton to successors, ensuring the continuity of efforts to benefit our community, no matter how long it takes.
