Robert P. Jones, president of PRRI, expressed concerns over the normalization of inflammatory rhetoric in politics, stating, 'This is a truly alarming situation to find this kind of support from one of our major political parties.'
The results show a significant divide, revealing that 61% of Republicans agree with the idea of immigrants poisoning the nation's blood, while only 13% of Democrats do.
Jones articulated the seriousness of the issue, comparing it to historical Nazi rhetoric, stating, 'It's Nazi rhetoric,' which emphasizes the weight of such language in political discourse.
