NYPD: 7 cars collide at Brooklyn intersection, injuring 17 people

A total of 17 people were injured Monday afternoon in a seven-car crash in south Brooklyn, with police investigating the cause of the pile-up.
Police said no one was seriously hurt in the crash. One person refused medical attention at the scene, while the 16 others were taken to local hospitals in stable condition.
This particular intersection has been the scene of nine crashes since January of 2020, with a total of 11 people injured, including three cyclists.
Brooklyn is leading the five boroughs with the most crashes so far this year: 6,883 collisions from January to October, with 40 fatalities.
