The state-of-the-art, $800 million arena in Queens, named Etihad Park, is set to debut in 2027 and will enhance local soccer engagement.
According to The Athletic, Etihad has secured a 20-year deal for the naming rights, aligning the airline's values with the soccer team's mission.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, stated, 'Our values as an airline align perfectly with New York City FC and their commitment to New York City.'
The project also includes affordable housing, a hotel, retail space, and an entrance featuring 11,000 square feet of LED screens for an immersive experience.
