New year but no end to mourning as South Korea crash victims are identified

The crash killed entire families returning from Christmas vacations in Thailand. A 3-year-old boy and his parents. Two school-age children and their mother and father.
The oldest victim, a 78-year-old man, died along with his wife, two daughters, a son-in-law and four grandchildren. Their remaining family member is their dog.
Lee Geun-young, a restaurant owner near the crash site, shared his anguish about the small children lost in the tragedy, reflecting on his own family.
A temporary mourning room was established at the airport for families, filled with photos and nameplates of the deceased, overwhelming those who entered.
