In celebration of Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, a new three-panel mural has been unveiled in East San Jose, representing vital aspects of the Vietnamese community. The mural illustrates the journey of the Vietnamese people fleeing their homeland, showcases traditional attire, and captures the scenic beauty of Vietnam. As San Jose hosts the largest Vietnamese community outside of Vietnam, this mural stands out as the largest of its kind in the Bay Area. This year also commemorates the 50th anniversary of significant migrations from Vietnam following the war, adding historical context to the artwork.
