When Ruby Crossley took her three-year-old daughter Paisley on vacation to Egypt, a family meal led to severe illness affecting 15 family members, highlighting food safety concerns.
According to the NHS, E.coli is usually spread by eating contaminated food or water, and can cause severe symptoms, especially in young children.
'It was the worst experience of my life and it scared me to go on holiday abroad,' Ruby said, emphasizing the lasting impact of the incident on their lives.
Public health has since contacted Ruby, confirming that Paisley likely contracted E.coli in Egypt, amidst other members of the family showing similar symptoms.
