To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live, Kenan Thompson, the show’s longest-tenured cast member, is participating in a subway safety campaign with the MTA. Beginning February 10, Thompson's humorous announcements will be broadcasted in over 400 subway stations, reminding riders about safety protocols and the importance of paying their fare. The MTA is enhancing visibility with additional signage at Rockefeller Center subway station, promoting the campaign until February 23. This initiative coincides with NBC's SNL 50: The Anniversary Special, set to air shortly after the campaign starts.
Imma keep it real with you with the dos and don'ts of the subway. Do pay the fare. I see you trying to jump the turnstiles. Stop it right now.
New Yorkers, it's Kenan Thompson here. When I hear you all talking about surfing, it better be about the Rockaways. Stay smart, and don't surf on the subways.
