Motorists are being urged to allow extra travel time and plan ahead following a serious crash on the M25, causing significant delays of 90 minutes and congestion over five miles.
The crash on the M25 anti-clockwise between J29 and J28 near Brentwood has led to an extended closure since around midday, with police and National Highways managing the scene.
Drivers are advised to navigate using the Hollow Square diversion symbol by taking the A127 towards London before rejoining the M25 at Junction 28 to avoid delays.
A National Highways spokesperson emphasized planning ahead for the journey, suggesting to reroute or delay trips as the congestion approaches Dartford Crossing.
