A big rig fire caused a major traffic nightmare near the MacArthur Maze today. The fire began around 2 pm on I-80 in Emeryville, and was soon extinguished, but all westbound lanes of I-80 going toward the Bay Bridge were temporarily blocked for around two hours. STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Delays are reported on the Brooklyn-bound Staten Island Expressway during the Wednesday morning rush hour. A crash at Bradley Avenue is contributing to delays, likely compounded by the remnants of slush, ice and snow from a major storm that dumped about a foot of white powder on the borough last weekend.
