Briefly

John Atkin, who taught Sarah at Loughborough University, expressed condolences and noted her promising career, stating, "Very tragic news about Sarah Cunningham. She was a terrific student and her death at the age of only 31 is a loss to everyone. Our very sincere condolences go to her family and friends at a time when her work was becoming meteoric through Lisson Gallery. RIP Sarah, you will always be a star."
Alex Young paid tribute to Sarah by saying, "Nottingham has lost an incredibly talented and heartwarming woman. My condolences to her family." The emotional weight of such tributes signifies not only her talent but her impact on those around her.
The Lisson Gallery described her artistic explorations, stating, "Throughout this exhibition, Cunningham explores aerial and bodily movements, flipping directions and orientations until reaching that moment when verticality and horizontality shift or tilt beyond recognition when up becomes down, or left suddenly turns right."
Ian Russel reflected on the impact Sarah had in the community, saying, "RIP Sarah Cunningham I only met you a few times but you seemed like a really nice girl, my hearts breaking a little for your family, I hope they realise how respected you were in the Nottingham creative community."
