A member of the NYC EMS, Bryan Antolos, has been suspended during an FDNY investigation into purported hate-filled comments he made on social media against Israel and supportive of terrorist groups. His Instagram posts reportedly condemned US support for Israel following the Hamas attacks, and presented dangerous ideologies that the advocacy group StopAntisemitism highlighted. The FDNY's code of conduct urges members to refrain from posting content that may provoke harassment or bring disrepute to the department, raising concerns about Antolos's capacity to serve impartially as a medic.
"Israel and the United States do not deserve to exist anymore," Bryan Antolos allegedly wrote on his Instagram story, according to screenshots shared by the Jewish advocacy group StopAntisemitism.
"StopAntisemitism is horrified to learn that FDNY has a dangerous antisemitic and anti-American EMT in their ranks," the group wrote in a post.
Antolos allegedly shared an image of an animated character pointing a gun and wrote below it, "Me to anyone that still supports Israel," according to a compilation of his disturbing posts.
The FDNY confirmed Antolos has been suspended and that the department is investigating the social media posts.
