Martin Lewis has issued an important warning to anyone aged under 22 who could be missing out on more than 2,000, highlighting the issue of unclaimed Child Trust Funds.
Research shows that over 670,000 Child Trust Funds are fully unclaimed, with an average sum of 2,212, and many young people may not even be aware they exist.
Mr Lewis underscores that some firms are trying to charge for access to unclaimed funds, urging individuals to retrieve their money independently and without any cost.
Child Trust Funds were established for children born between 1 September 2002 and 2 January 2011, offering a tax-free space for savings, accessible upon turning 18.
