Gardaí are investigating whether the victim, a local man, had been involved in an altercation at the playground, which has seen anti-social incidents lately.
A Green Party councillor for Bray East, Erika Doyle, stated, 'I would ask people to stay calm and just let the gardaí do their job at this point.'
Emergency services responded to a serious incident on Boghall Road where the man was treated but later pronounced deceased, prompting a thorough investigation.
The scene will be preserved for forensic examination, with a garda spokesperson confirming involvement of the Office of the State Pathologist and Garda Technical Bureau.
