Man accused of murdering his mother Mirjana Pap further remanded in custody as victim's body to be released to family

Nebojsa Pap has been charged with the murder of his 58-year-old wife Mirjana, whose body was discovered on December 30 after a missing person report.

The case remains open with the Director of Public Prosecutions still considering charges, necessitating a four-week adjournment for further legal processes.

Due to the serious nature of the charges related to murder, bail cannot be considered at this District Court level and must be referred to the High Court.

Mr. Cooney, defense solicitor for Pap, confirmed that a prior application for legal aid to engage an independent pathologist was granted, allowing the family to reclaim Ms. Pap's body.
