Gardaí were alerted to a single vehicle fatal collision that occurred at Moorock, Ballycumber, in Offaly in the early hours of this morning.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a man aged in his 30s, was fatally injured. No other injuries were reported, and the body has been removed to the mortuary.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward, including road users with dash-cam footage.
