As Tropical Storm Rafael gains strength, meteorologists urge residents of the Florida Keys to prepare for heavy rainfall and potentially life-threatening conditions.
AccuWeather's Brett Anderson highlighted that while the storm may bring tornadoes to the west coast of Florida, it won't mirror the intensity of previous hurricanes that struck the area.
The National Hurricane Center warns the Keys could experience increased water levels by one to two feet, leading to dangerous surf and rip current conditions.
The current trajectory of Rafael shows it will affect not just Florida, but also Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, bringing with it dangerous winds and rainfall.
