A gas leak in Islington has led to the evacuation of 350 residents. Engineers confirmed repairs cannot start until electricity is turned off.
Cadent identified that a blown electric cable had damaged a gas main, leading to the ongoing gas leak situation requiring evacuations.
Firefighters worked alongside the gas board and other agencies to secure the area and assist evacuated residents following the gas leak.
Residents and shop owners have been thanked by Cadent for their patience as they manage the leak and coordinate with UK Power Networks.
