Irish Athletic Boxing Association denies discriminating against Protestant boxer 'on grounds of religion or culture'

The IABA and UBC wish to make it clear that the dispute with Mr. Clarke was mutually discontinued and any settlement was made without admission of fault on either side.

Neither the IABA nor UBC accept as valid any assertion that Mr. Clarke was discriminated against because of his religion or cultural background, demonstrating their preparedness to defend against such claims.

The organizations opted for mediation as a confidential process, aimed at saving time and resources while fostering better relationships among the parties involved.

In hopes of salvaging the relationship between the parties, both the IABA and UBC expressed optimism about reaching a mutually agreed position through mediation.
