Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked on Ratan Tata's leadership by saying, 'He provided stable leadership to one of India's oldest and most prestigious business houses. At the same time, his contribution went far beyond boardrooms.'
Ratan Tata, after graduation from Cornell University, joined the Tata Group in 1962, eventually taking charge in 1991, during which he significantly expanded the conglomerate.
Under Ratan Tata's leadership, Tata Group saw immense growth, transforming into one of the world's largest conglomerates with a revenue of $165 billion recorded in 2023-24.
