The average working day wage for the UK's top 1% of earners is £735.65, making it possible for them to earn the average salary in just 39 working days.
Melanie Pizzey, CEO of the Global Payroll Association, commented on the disparities, stating that the top 1% will soon earn more than the typical person's pay by the end of January.
Despite their high earnings, Melanie Pizzey noted that even top earners likely feel the pinch in January, as expenses tend to match income levels.
