Iconic Downtown Brooklyn location among Macy's closures in NYC
Briefly

Macy's announced that its Downtown Brooklyn store on Fulton Street and another location in Sheepshead Bay are among 66 stores across the country slated to close this year.
Macy's CEO Tony Spring stated, "Closing any store is never easy, but as part of our Bold New Chapter strategy, we are closing underproductive Macy's stores to allow us to focus our resources and prioritize investments in our go-forward stores."
Shocked customers expressed their feelings, with longtime customer Lisa stating, "Where are we supposed to go? TJ Maxx closed, Nordstrom Rack closed-now Macy's too?"
Another customer, Edd, expressed disbelief, saying, "I would have never guessed Macy's would be underperforming. Everybody shops here, especially after the holidays."
