I uprooted my life and moved across the world to teach at a Japanese high school. These are the 3 things I learned, and why I'd do it again.
Briefly

"When I got to Japan, I noticed how limited the use of technology was in the classroom. Our morning meeting notes were always printed on paper, and some of my fellow teachers didn't know how to use email. This created a challenge for us in transitioning to more digital formats, highlighting some cultural differences in the uptake of technology in education."
"I won't sugarcoat it: I wanted more opportunities, and to go out into the world and see what it had to offer. I've always loved manga, anime, and other aspects of Japanese culture. Moving to Japan was a way to immerse myself in these passions while also advancing my career as an English teacher."
