Max Verstappen revealed he hadn't believed he had a chance of victory after an unexpected win from 17th on the grid at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Verstappen described his comeback as an emotional day, opening with a major setback in qualifying before delivering one of his best drives in challenging conditions.
Lando Norris noted Verstappen had benefitted from red-flag rules that many drivers oppose, claiming it was merely luck that contributed to the result.
The race allowed Verstappen to move to a position where he could seal his fourth world drivers' championship, as he now leads Norris by 62 points.
