Speaking on US talkshow 60 Minutes, Kate Winslet described the brutal body-shaming she faced at 22, reflecting on past experiences and societal pressures.
"What kind of a person must they be to do something like that to a young actress who's just trying to figure it out?" Winslet said while reflecting on her past.
Winslet recounted the harsh words from her acting teacher, "if you're going to look like this, you'll have to settle for the fat girl parts,' which impacted her self-image.
"It was for all those people who were subjected to that level of harassment. It was horrific, it was really bad," Winslet emphasized the shared struggles of many.
