Abdulaziz expresses his identity and emotions through his artwork, primarily via color, associating specific hues with particular feelings. His detailed preparations include selecting colors that reflect emotions and sketching out scenes. The piece 'I am a work of art' exemplifies this, using red to signify love while also representing its dual nature of cruelty through broken heart motifs. Additionally, black-and-white elements introduce themes of hidden emotions, contrasting the vivid color palette and evoking mystery, showcasing the multifaceted nature of emotion in art.
I create to know myself better; I'm simply communicating with something within. This method involves colour, which categorizes emotions and enriches my art.
I used red because red is the highest sphere of love in my spectrum. But the broken hearts on the kufi indicate a complexity within that love.
I introduced black-and-white in my works to express what hasn't been expressed, what is hidden, what is oppressed, contrasting sharply with my usual vibrant colours.
Each prop in my work is designed purposefully to enhance the narrative I wish to express, emphasizing the attentiveness to detail in my visual world.
