Hyatt plans to divide its hotels into two categories: the 'Luxury Portfolio' focused on ultra-sumptuous properties and the 'Lifestyle Portfolio' leaning into hip, culture-focused properties.
Hyatt has opened 28 upscale hotels this year, including prestigious locations like Park Hyatt London River Thames and Thompson Palm Springs, reinforcing its luxury focus.
Hyatt's acquisition of curated travel booking site Mr and Mrs Smith last year positions the company to meet the rising demand for unique travel experiences.
